Everyone gets through the door.
The studio is meant to feel welcoming, and the website should too. Here’s where our accessibility work stands, what we know still needs improvement, and how to reach a person if anything here gets in your way.
Our commitment
Sacred Wellness, doing business as Sacred Studios, is committed to making sacredstudiosca.com usable by as many people as possible, including students who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control, or reduced-motion settings.
The standard we’re working toward
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We describe this as a goal rather than a finished claim: parts of the site meet it today and parts do not, and we’d rather tell you which is which than post a conformance badge we haven’t earned.
What we’ve done so far
- Built the site with semantic HTML structure — real headings, lists, landmarks, and navigation — so assistive technology can move through it in order.
- Written descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and marked decorative images so screen readers skip them.
- Adjusted text and label colors to meet AA contrast ratios against our sand and shell backgrounds.
- Honored the operating-system “reduce motion” setting: our scroll-reveal animations turn off and content is shown immediately for anyone who has that preference on.
- Sized tap targets and form inputs for comfortable use on a phone.
- Labeled every form field, including visually hidden labels where the design shows only a placeholder.
- Provided a phone number and email alongside every embedded widget, so a booking never depends on a single interface.
Known limitations
We’re aware of the following and are actively working on them:
- Momence booking and sign-up widgets. Our class schedule, booking flow, and new-student form are supplied and rendered by Momence, a third-party platform. We don’t control their markup, focus order, or labeling, and we can’t guarantee they meet WCAG 2.1 AA. If a Momence widget blocks you, call or email us and we will book you directly — that path always works.
- Embedded Google Maps and Instagram content. The map on our contact page and the Reels on our gallery page are rendered by Google and Instagram. Our address, hours, and phone number are always available as plain text next to the map so no information is map-only.
- No skip-to-content link yet. Keyboard users currently tab through the site navigation on each page before reaching the main content. This is on our fix list.
- Focus indicators are inconsistent. Some interactive elements rely on browser-default focus styling, which can be hard to see against our darker sections. We are standardizing a visible focus ring across the site.
- Video and image-heavy pages. Instagram Reels embedded on our gallery page may not carry captions, since captioning is controlled at the source.

Tell us what’s not working
If you run into a barrier on this site — a page a screen reader can’t make sense of, a control you can’t reach with a keyboard, text you can’t read — we want to hear about it. It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what browser or assistive technology you were using.
